Born in 1946 in Sheffield to Norman and Kay Storr, John’s educational journey led him to Keble College, Oxford, laying the foundation for his impactful career.

His passion for teaching English and the arts resonated deeply with his students at Rose Hill, where he spent the majority of his teaching career. His influence spanned generations, inspiring countless pupils with his love for literature and creativity. Even after retirement, John continued to embrace his passions, residing in Wotton and nurturing his love for travel and culture. His commitment to expanding his horizons reflected his insatiable curiosity and zest for life.

John’s passing leaves a profound void, survived by his younger brother, Peter, nine nephews and nieces, and numerous great-nephews and nieces. In respecting his wishes, a private family funeral will be held, underscoring his desire for simplicity and humility.
