Diana Petrone Obituary, Death – According to the information gathered by the Advance and SILive.com, a well-known businesswoman, motorcycle enthusiast, and mother from Staten Island who passed away after being cruelly disabled in a crash in 2020 has been identified.
Diana Petrone, 46, of Richmond is being honored this week by her family, friends, and former coworkers for her tenacity and success as a business owner, which received national praise over the years; as well as her generosity in the community as a volunteer with a local charity. Petrone passed away earlier this week.
“May you finally find peace, Diana; my deepest condolences for all that you had to go through in your life.” As the news of her passing spread, a woman commented on her Facebook page that she was “sending our condolences and prayers to your parents as well as your daughter and everyone who loved you.”
The former proprietor of a bagel store had been in the news more recently as a result of a contentious criminal trial that was held in relation to the 2020 crash, and a lawsuit related to the incident is still being pursued.
On Tuesday, reports indicated that she went away in peace despite the fact that the cause of death was unknown. State Senator Jessica Scarcella-Spanton, a former regular customer of Petrone’s and a self-described admirer of her business acumen, stated that “the entire Dongan Hills community is mourning the loss…” after Petrone’s passing. Scarcella-Spanton is a Democrat representing the North Shore and Brooklyn. “Diana’s story hits close to home, and my deepest condolences go out to her family, friends, and all those who knew and loved her,” said the author.
