Brian Seymour Obituary, Death – Brian S. Seymour, a 54-year-old Altoona resident, passed away at UPMC Altoona on Friday November 10, 2023. Born in Altoona, he was the son of Eugene and Virginia “Mickie” (Carland) Seymour. Carland was his mother’s maiden name.
In addition to his parents, Brian is survived by his two brothers, Cory J. Seymour (fiancée-Rhonda) and Craig E. Seymour (fiancée-Judy), both of Altoona; his best friend, Cherie Brandt (Tom); his dog, Rickie; and his sons, Derek J. Seymour (fiancée-Lauren) of Altoona and Zachary A. Seymour (Addie) of Washington, DC; in addition to numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Brendan M. Seymour, his nephew, and Tricia A. Rupert, his sister, both died before him.
Altoona Area High School was where he received his high school graduation. Brian was a former member of both the Bavarian Aid Society and the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Among his favorite pastimes were painting and collecting coins and crystals. Father Lubomir Strecok will preside at a funeral Mass on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The service’s time and venue are still unknown. The Calvary Cemetery will serve as the location of the burial.
The arrangements will be handled by The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Avenue, Altoona, Pennsylvania 16602. The family asks that donations be given in Brian’s honor to either Sacred Heart Catholic Church, situated at 511 20th Street, Altoona, Pennsylvania 16602, or the Altoona Intervention Project, located at 501 Howard Avenue, suite A-204, Altoona, Pennsylvania 16601.
